Great mountain dining and bre prepared to pay for it! Hazie's has a view that can't be beaten in Steamboat ... It is a great place to relax with a absolutely stupendous view of the valley. Great service and the manager always stops by to make sure that your experience is a great one. (One time I mentioned that my Elk steak was cooked past (Medium to my request for Med. Rare) what I ordered and they manager had another one brought out. Wouldnt accept that I didnt need them to do that) My only improvement would be the portion sizes ... i know everything goes up the gondola or in a snowcat during the winter, but at those prices, a little larger portion size would be good.

The food was really good, the experience was great, but there were a few errors during our meal and it was very hot upstairs for our dinner. It is pricey so I would have expected really perfect service. However, the views are outstanding and the menu had a very good selection. I'm not positive I would go back, expect for a special occasion or only to see if the service improved.

Hazie's, located in the upper gondola station, is the best bar with a view on the mountain in my book. There's a choice of buffet, with carving station, or ordering from the daily menu. The bar is especially popular with the locals. If Brian is tending bar, be sure to try one of his signature Hot Bloody Marys, the key ingredient being high-end vodka, infused (i.e. marinated for days) with several types of chili peppers. A wonderfully complex and refreshing cap to a great day of skiing the 'Boat.

It took a minute to get service (drink order), but the manager noticed and reminded the wait service. It was probably a fluke because After that, wait service was impeccable. I had the swordfish club. The bread was a little too buttery and overall it was delicious! My smokin hot girlfriend had the grilled cheese. I took a bite and loved it too. Portions were normal, scenery was perfect. With the dining on top of the mountain, there is a Great view of the town below. Prices were fair considering the location.

Back in Steamboat for the Pow and Hazie's is still kick'n it. Rode up on the Gondola after dark - very romantic, private ride, with blankets and a gazillion stars - yes it works! Ok about the food. Drinks at he bar overlooking the Yampa Valley and the town of Steamboat: They infuse vodka with everything - try something you'll like it. If not try it again - I guarantee you'll like it. The view is incredible. Crab and Artichoke appetizer - wife says one of the best appetizers she has ever had. Elk tenderloin - perfectly prepared and delicious. Sea bass - tender, flaky, and full of favor - it was the catch of the day so it varies. They have a decent wine list and at around 9,000 feet ASL, the martini and a few glasses of wine, the view - it just works! Yep, this is a winner!

Nice place on the Mountain for Lunch or to take the Gondola for Evening Dinner. I stop about once a month for a bowl of soup and a Jasper (local name for an Arnold Palmer). The staff is top notch and the ambiance is a step up from the Stoker Bar immediately below. I visit Hazie's to relax after a hard morning powder day but most of the time it is either the Food Court at Thunderhead or Rendezvous, The Deck at either place on a Blue Bird Day or just ski to the bottom for home or maybe Slopeside.

Try the infused vodkas. I had a cherry martini that I am still craving so much that I'll b getting another tomorrow and I am going to try and replicate it at home. The food is lovely. Even the French fries are a savory level above ur average French fry. Beret salad, potato leek soup, blue cheese burger, everything was a step above the ordinary and the staff are exceptional. I've been twice and intend to eat and drink here for lunch every day I ski u til I have to head home. I wish they served dinner. I'd expect some ridiculously delicious offerings.

It's pretty interesting to be at the top of the mountain and take the gondola up at night. The views are probably better still when there is some light out but it's definitely a different vibe to feel like you have the whole mountain to yourself. Ordered the bison carpaccio, lobster roll & tiramisu but had a taste of the duck wings, Hawaiian tuna poke, beef barley soup, Rocky Mountain Elk Strip Loin and chicken fingers. We also ordered the Aldersheim pinot noir (very smooth). Everything I had was delicious! There are also huge panoramic style windows to enjoy the view. Really cute - the oil for the bread actually had a cursive "H" drawn in there with balsamic vinegar. The bison was yummy and although the lobster roll was served a bit colder & with more veggies than I would like, it was solid. There was a decent amount of lobster in there. Tiramisu was served in a glass and disappeared pretty quickly. Never had duck wings served that way before and it was good. The tuna poke was delicious as well and vanished shortly after it was served - the "wontons" that accompanied it was quite good with just the right amount of crunch without feeling like you'd crack a tooth on it. Everything that was served with the elk dish including the elk was tasty - my only complaint is that it wasn't a bigger portion.

This place is a must for me every time I'm in Steamboat Springs. The view is amazing and the food is too. Last time I went, for an anniversary lunch, the service was a little slow in the beginning. But otherwise I've only had wonderful experiences here!

I was excited to celebrate Valentine's at Hazie's which I haven't been to in over a decade. Riding the gondola at night is worth it all by itself. Unfortunately the gondola ride at night and the view from Hazie's are the only reasons to go. There are great options on the menu but everything is very lacking in taste. It will be drinks only for now on. Lesson learned.

We stopped in for lunch on a snowy day. We did not have a reservation but it was only about a 15 min wait for a table for two. The hostess updated me often with what was going on with the table we were getting. There is a bar to the right and a small seating area to the left (past the salad bar). There was also a loft area for seating but I think that is only used for dinner. There are great views from every table. Once seated, it took a little bit of time for our waitress to arrive at our table. She apologized for our wait when she arrived. We had a voucher for two free glasses of champagne so we decided to use them. She returned with the champagne and warm bread (both were delicious). I opted for the "Waldorf Chicken Salad" while my fiance had the "Chicken Shepard's Pie." I was shocked at the amount of food my lunch had. The plate was overflowing! My fiance said his was just the right amount for lunch and a day headed back to the slopes. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich along with the meat from the second half, a few sweet potato chips (this made me sad as they were very good) and my fruit. The desserts sounded very tempting but there just wasn't any room left. Good food, good views, nice service and rather decently priced for the amount of food you get. We will most likely be stopping back in during our next trip!

We recently went to Hazie's for dinner and had a great time. Joey was our server and he was great! He was obviously having issues with other difficult tables (which I only noticed because I have worked in the service industry as well), but he didn't skip a beat and was still very attentive and a joy as a server. The food runner and everyone that we encountered in the restaurant was extremely pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend Hazie's! The prices are high but you should be expecting that before hand. Great food, great service!

They have decent food and a great drink list. Nachos and Broccoli Cheese soup in a bread bowl were satisfying but nothing to make me really want to come back. They have a great hot drink list though. Nothing like a Swedish Hot Chocolate (vanilla vodka, cinnamon schnapps, hot chocolate) during a blizzard. Our server was super cool, laid back, and great at her job.

Here's good advice. Get a bowl of soup in the bar either before or after the lunch crowd has come and gone, sit near the window, and take in the view. Good stuff. Hazie's is easy to get to as its at the top of the Gondola. More advice: if it's snowing, make lunch reservations at Ragnars the night before, or at least before you head up in the morning. You have to ski over to Ragnars. Food's all good, best is a mug of hot Glühwein! That'll put a glow on the rest of your runs!

Hazies...A great location in Steamboat Springs. You can take the Gondola, where they give you a blanket to wrap yourself in, to the restaraunt. The staff is very pleasant, that is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. We sat at 6:25 p.m. We were given water and menus. At 6:40 p.m. we were asked if we would like drinks and ordered our appetizer and main entree. Hazies has a pre-fixed menu, soup of the day or choice of 2 salads (casear or house.) At 7:15 we were served our soup and salad. After waiting that long, you would expect that the soup would be hot, but it was tepid. We did not send it back because we had waited so long for it. We had to ask for refils of water and soda. My husband and I both had a soda, I asked for a refil and the server asked "for you to?" refering to my husband who had an empty glass for 10 minutes, too. At 8:20 p,m. we were served Bison New York Strip, Swordfish, and prawns. I would grade the Bison a B for flavor and texture (Bison is a leaner meat, but this was relatively tender compared to most restaraunts,) but was cold! We had been at Hazie's for so long, I didn't want to send it back. My husband sent his back and they new one they brought was hot, but he ordered mid-rare, and they bought bak mid-well. I tried my mom's prawns and they were great- cooked well. The server cleared the whole table, and then asked what we wanted for dessert, prolonging the agony of sitting there forever... At 8:50p.m. We ordered creme brulee and chocolate meringe cake with raisin ice cream. The creme brulee is okay, A little burnt on top. The chocolate cake had a "fishy" initial taste. Maybe it was stale... We finally left at 9:15. Overall, I would not consider going back to eat. The staff was pleasant and I wouldn't mind going to drink at the bar. The view is great!

Without reservations we faced potential doom after waiting in line for and riding the gondola up the hill with the family for our last day fun at Steamboat. The maitre'd did great job of making things work out. Our waiter was wonderful and full of enthusiasm about EVERYTHING Steamboat. the soup and salad bar was very unique with delicious cheeses, almond cookies, nice bread, grains, berries & yogurt in addition to a very fresh green salad. We could have stopped there but we had a beef noodle dish was delicious. Our daughter really wanted more beef, though. We were very impressed and the price was fair. the view- unsurpassable, breathtaking and made us all smile! We got to play with wiki stix while we waited so the artistic opportunities were lots of fun!

I certainly wouldn't go here for dinner, but for lunch during skiing? Any time! We were seated immediately even during prime lunch hours, always at a table with a view. Great service, salads, best tomato-basil soup I've tasted (that could be because I was freezing and starving), fries, quiche, sandwiches- all good.
